  • It's not compulsory but we would suggest you do.

    If you fit normal tyres to a car that's set for run flat tyres you will need to change all 4 tyres as well as altering the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). You may need to inform your insurance company of the change.

  • What Is A Run Flat Tyre

  • Run flat tyres are designed to be able to still carry a vehicle's load if it suffers a puncture. Its sidewall is designed in such a way that it has a thicker sidewall that won’t collapse when air is escaping for the tyre.

    This design feature means you can drive your vehicle at a reduced speed up to 50 miles, getting you safely home or to a garage.

  • How Do I Know If I Need A Run Flat Tyre

  • Check your tyre's sidewall, you will see a symbol to represent if your car is fitted with run flat tyres. The main car manufacturers that use run flat tyres are Mini and BMW.

    - Dunlop - DSST or ROF

    - Goodyear - ROF or EMT

    - Bridgestone - ROF or RFT or RSC

    - Michelin - ZP

    - Hankook - * or HRS or B (at the end of a product code)
